Jeanne Hogarth
Founder, William L Reed & Associates, LLC (formerly of CFSI)

Jeanne Hogarth is the founder of William L Reed & Associates, a research, analysis, and consulting firm dedicated to principles-based policies and consumer-centric product design that leverage innovation to improve consumer financial well-being. Previously, she was a Vice President at the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI), working to strengthen the Center’s research and engagement efforts with policy makers in government, NGOs, non-profits, consumer advocacy organizations, and other key stakeholders. She served on CFSI’s Consumer Financial Health Study project team and supported the Center’s work in promoting high-quality innovation in small-dollar credit, prepaid cards, savings, payments, and policy. Prior to joining CFSI, Jeanne worked as an economist in Consumer and Community Affairs at the Federal Reserve Board, managing the Consumer Research section. There, she led research and outreach projects on consumer financial behavior and decision-making, financial services access and inclusion, and household economic stability. Before joining the Board, she was as an Associate Professor of consumer economics at Cornell University where she worked with Cooperative Extension on translating research into practice in community development and consumer finance. And before that, she taught high school in Ohio. She has authored numerous research articles as well as consumer financial education resources – both her research and her consumer education programs have received awards for their excellence. Jeanne is an avid traveler, seeing the world from A (Argentina and Australia) to Z (Zambia and Zimbabwe). She received a B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Economics from The Ohio State University.
