Kimberly Capps
Chief Operations Officer, Southern Bank

Kimberly Capps, Chief Operations Officer at Southern Bank, has worked in the financial industry in one capacity or another for 30 years. As COO of a publicly traded bank, she is responsible for various departments including information technology, marketing and retail/commercial operations. Over the past 5 years, she has been strategically designing the product delivery channels, moving beyond traditional marketing, and redesigning the branch staff, all while maintaining a diligent eye on operational efficiencies. She firmly believes for banks to be successful we must adapt and change to meet the technological needs of customers and their ever changing expectations. With this belief, Southern Bank no longer operates as a traditional order taking bank.

Prior to the COO position, she held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Southern Bank. She serves on numerous vendor advisory boards which aids in the development of her knowledge in the changing world of banking.
