The National Credit Union Foundation has awarded the World Council of Credit Unions a $65,000 grant in support of WOCCU's Partnership Program.
The program works to build relationships between state leagues and credit union movements in developing nations. WOCCU's Partnership Program fosters the sharing of information and experiences through exchange visits between partnered state leagues and interested countries.
Ongoing relationships can bring about educational, marketing, and materials exchanges. Other funding partners include state leagues, USAID, and U.S. Central Credit Union. States currently involved in the project include: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
