America's CU Museum Exhibit Honors Defense CUs

A new exhibit recognizing the The Defense Credit Union Council is now on display at America's Credit Union Museum here. The exhibit was underwritten by Service Credit Union, Portsmouth, N.H.

"Defense credit unions have honorably served U.S. military personnel for more than 65 years," said DCUC President Roland 'Arty' Arteaga

The new DCUC exhibit at America's Credit Union Museum will include a panel that highlights the history of the Defense Credit Union Council, a panel that details the role of Defense Credit Unions in U.S. wars and a bronze eagle to honor credit union service in the U.S. and around the world.

School Branch Handbook Is Available Free

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich.-The Michigan league's Family Involvement Council (FIC) has created the "Credit Union School Branch Handbook," a how-to guide for establishing a school credit union branch. The 56-page manual offers insight into many of the regulatory, marketing, and logistical issues involved in establishing a school branch. There is no cost to download the guide, which comes complete with sample letters and forms.
