LAWRENCE, Ind. - (06/19/06) Authorities were hunting lastweekend for an armed robber who walked into Forum CU just afteropening Friday and escaped with $250,000, one of the biggest creditunion robberies in recent years. The lone assailant pointed asemiautomatic handgun at the credit union manager, handed him aroll of duct tape and ordered the manager to bind another employee,two adult members and a nine-year-old boy. The robber then orderedthe manager to clean out the cash drawers but leave the dye packs,then emptied the vault, as well. The robber was gone by the timepolice got to the scene.
