Baxter CU Offering Spanish Site

Baxter Credit Union (BCU) has unveiled a Spanish website and online banking service. The new Spanish web site (www.tubcu.org) seeks to meet the needs of the credit union's 20,000, Spanish-speaking members. "BCU has strong ties to our Spanish-speaking members and we have long been committed to providing Spanish-based service and communication," said Mike Valentine, President/CEO of BCU. BCU also has a bilingual call center; a cost-effective money wire transfer service (IRnet) for wires sent to Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and the Philippines; bilingual ATMs; Spanish applications and more. BCU plans to begin offering mortgages in Puerto Rico sometime in 2003.
