SAN DIEGO - (01/06/06) – Millions of football fansaround the country and in southern California were treated to 1,000high school marching-band members and a spectacular fireworksdisplay during the ‘Fun in the Sun’ halftimeextravangaza at last week’s Pacific Life Holiday Bowl here,thanks to North Island CU. The $1.5 billion credit union broadcastits brand to the nation during the Dec. 29 game shown on ESPN andattended more than 65,000 fans at Qualcomm Stadium in which theOklahoma Sooners defeated the Oregon Ducks 17-14. This is thesecond year the credit union has sponsored the halftime show at thepopular college bowl game.
