DCU Opens In Georgia, Colorado

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.-Digital FCU (DCU) is opening two new branches out of state. The first has opened in Alpharetta, Ga. in the Jordan Shopping Center II, and replaces the branch formerly located on Windward Parkway. The new 4,400-square-foot facility includes an Internet Caf? with PCs, printers, and coffee for member use and six private offices, six teller stations and a 24-hour walk-up ATM. The second facility has been opened in Colorado Springs, Colo. and also replaces an older facility. The new branch has similar features inside its 5,100-square-feet.

SSFCU Opens Service Center

SAN ANTONIO-Security Service FCU has opened its new service center in San Antonio's Rolling Oaks Mall, expanding its older mall location by more than 5,000 square feet. To mark the opening, SSFCU made an $8,000 donation to two neighborhood organizations, including a $4,000 check given to Judson Learning Academy, an alternative learning environment in Rolling Oaks Mall for at-risk, Judson Independent School District students; and $4,000 to the San Antonio Fire Department.

MacDill FCU To Build New HQ

TAMPA, Fla.-MacDill FCU has broken ground on 25 acres of property where it plans to build a new 125,000-square-foot, five story headquarters. The building will allow for growth of up to 500 employees, and will include a 15,000-square-foot training facility. It is being designed and built by R.R. Simmons Construction.

HFCU Relocates To Shopping Mall

HONOLULU-Hickam FCU has relocated its Pearlridge Branch to the Pearlridge Center Uptown, on the second floor, next to a GAP. Before the relocation, the branch was located in the Pearlridge Office Tower. The 3,750-square foot branch effectively increases the area dedicated to member service by more than 30%, allowing the expansion of teller windows from four to seven.

First Educators To Open Branch

HOUSTON-First Educators CU has broken ground on a new branch facility in Conroe, Texas. The 6,200-square-foot facility is being designed and built by KDA Holdings, Inc.
