Capitol Hill Figure Joins California CU Lobby

The California CU League said last week it hired Ryan Donovan, former chief of staff for credit union champion Brad Sherman of California and a former assistant to ex-House Democratic Leader Richard Gephardt, as its Washington lobbyist. Donovan, will be the Capital representative for the California league's lobbying team. While the California league is the first state league to hire a full-time Washington lobbyist, it will continue to coordinate its legislative advocacy with CUNA and the other state leagues. Donovan will report to Bob Arnould, who was appointed to head the league's joint state and federal lobbying office under last year's reorganization.
