ATLANTA - (01/24/05) -- E-payments processor CheckFree Corp.said last week it broke into the black for its fiscal secondquarter ended Dec. 31, with net income of $13 million, or 14 centsshare, compared to a loss of $1.9 million, or two cents a share,for the same period last year. Revenues surged 24% to $185.8million for the quarter, compared to last year's second quarter.For the first half of the fiscal year CheckFree reported net incomeof $19.2 million, or 21 cents a share, compared to a loss of $8.6million, or 10 cents a share, for the first half last year.Revenues for the first six months rose 24% to $363.6million.
