CipherPass Corp said it has introduced a two-factor online authentication system that will enhance online security.

The company's C-keys leverages something a user knows, like a PIN, and something they have, like an identification digitally stored on a USB or smart card to validate a user's identity before allowing them access to confidential information. The new system will allow credit unions and banks to meet the Dec. 31, 2006 regulatory deadline for implementing a two-factor authentication for online transactions.
