LOS ANGELES - (11/2/05) -- CipherPass Corp said it hasintroduced a two-factor online authentication system that willenhance online security. The company's C-keys leverages something auser knows, like a PIN, and something the have, like anidentification digitally stored on a USB or smart card to validatea user's identity before allowing them access to confidentialinformation. The new system will allow credit unions and banks tomeet the Dec. 31, 2006 regulatory deadline for implementing atwo-factor authentication for online transactions.
