CO-OP Network Renews ATM Deal WithTRM

ONTARIO, Calif. - (04/05/06) -- The CO-OP Network announced Tuesdayit has renewed an agreement with TRM Corp. to co-brand 5,500 TRMATMs, which will continue to carry the CO-OP logo. CO-OP hadannounced in February it was discontinuing those TRM machinesbecause of low transaction volume. Stan Hollen, president of CO-OP,said they reached a new deal to continue those machines as part ofthe credit union-owned network. "We renegotiated the agreement,"Hollen told The Credit Union Journal. After the February decision,the CO-OP added 5,400 co-branded ATMs in 7-Eleven conveniencestores to the network. The new deal does not affect the 1,000 TRMATMs used and co-branded by CO-OP in The Pantry and CumberlandFarms convenience stores on the East Coast. CO-OP now has more than25,000 co-branded ATMs on its network.
