Cops Hunt 'Cross Your ArmsBandit'

LOS ANGELES - (05/18/05) -- Authorities are searching for anarmed robber and his accomplice they believe are responsible for atleast four area financial institution hold-ups, including a March 4heist at Focus One Community CU, in Pasadena. The robber has beendubbed the 'cross your arms bandit,' because when he makes hisdemands on tellers he orders them to cross their arms, then tellsthem that the robbery is 'not about them,' but 'about the money.'He has on at least once occasion thanked employees for theircooperation. The robber and his accomplice sometimes brandishsemi-automatic handguns, so should be considered armed anddangerous.
