Corporates To Co-Host 'Dare To Compete'

Ten corporate credit unions have joined to co-sponsor the first-ever "Dare to Compete" conference, set for Nov. 15-17 at the Millennium Hotel in St. Louis. The meeting will focus on how credit unions become more competitive?; How credit unions can be successful competing against larger institutions?, and what are the secrets to a successful operation? It will feature speakers from both inside and outside the credit union movement who will present attendees a view they may not typically see, organizers said, including Don Taylor, who has written two books on how to compete with the "Wal-Marts" of the world. The conference will also include a panel discussion among credit union CEOs who represent some of the fastest growing credit unions in the nation, both in terms of numbers of members as well as assets. Co-sponsoring corporates include Central Credit Union Fund, Inc., Corporate America, Kansas Corporate, Kentucky Corporate Federal, Louisiana Corporate, Midwest Corporate Federal, Missouri Corporate, Treasure State Corporate, TRICORP Federal and West Virginia Corporate.
