Credit Union Volunteer, Professional Are Honored

PHOENIX-Rick Craig, CEO of America First Credit Union in Ogden, Utah has been named the 2004 Executive of the Year by the Credit Union Executives Society. The presentation was made during a special awards at CUES' CEO Network. "I am fortunate to be able to work with a great team and supportive board as we provide innovative services to our membership," said Craig.

Craig has been CEO at America First since 1997, during which the CU has grown by $1.6 billion to its current $2.9 billion.

DEL MAR, Calif.-J. Wesley "Wes" Bone, chairman of First Financial FCU, Lutherville, Md., has been presented with the National Association of Credit Union Chairmen's 2004 Eugene Ball Award. First instituted two years ago, the award singles out one credit union chairman who exemplifies the leadership qualities demonstrated by Eugene Ball, credit union icon and longtime chairman of Pentagon Federal Credit Union. The plaque's inscription honors Bone for his commitment to country, credit unions and The Chairmen's Group.
