GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - (07/10/06) CU*Answers, the creditunion-owned data processing and networking CUSO, announced it haspurchased a majority interest in Reed Data Inc., of Midway, Utah, aleading supplier of optical archiving and electronic documentdelivery systems. The collaboration will further the vision ofCU*Answers' CEO Randy Karnes' vision of the paperless credit unionoffice, including the use of digital signature pads at the tellerline and making member information readily available through aplanned Teller Receipt Database, including loan documents,receipts, driver license and other ID information. Separately, CUAnswers said it signed six more credit unions to its CU*Base memberprocessing system. They are: Affinity Group CU, Pontiac, Mich.,First Choice CU, Coldwater, Ohio, Tri-Cities CU, Grand Haven,Mich., Logan Community FCU, Bellefontaine, Ohio, Liberty AllianceFCU, Lexington, KY, and Madison County FCU Anderson,Ind.
