CU Generates $200K For Christian Ministries

Christian Community Credit Union is reporting that its "Cards that Give to Missions & Ministries" credit card program donated a record-breaking $200,000 to Christian-related causes during the summer. Since the program's inception in 1994, CCCU has donated $1.3 million.

Every time members make a purchase using their CCCU credit or debit card, the credit union donates to missions and ministries a portion of the interchange income. Last fall, CCCU introduced two new credit cards to the program Visa Platinum and Visa Platinum Plus. The program's donation goal had been $160,000.

"When members decide to use their CCCU credit cards exclusively, and put the other cards away, the potential donations to missions and ministries are phenomenal," said CEO John Walling.
