MADISON, Wis. - (06/16/05) -- CUNA Mutual Group said Wednesday ithas purchased Systems Insurance of America, a Wauwatosa, Wis.,provider of equipment maintenance insurance to credit unions as alower-cost alternative to traditional maintenance servicescontracts. Most types of electronic office equipment used by creditunions, like alarm systems, ATMs, coin sorters, computers, faxmachines, network equipment, postage machines, scanners,typewriters and vault doors, are eligible for the coverage. CUNAMutual has partnered with SIA since 1998 and provides equipmentmaintenance coverage to more than 400 credit unions in 21 states.Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
