CUNA, NAFCU See Supporter In New N.J.Senator

WASHINGTON - (12/14/05) Both CUNA and NAFCU said the newestU.S. Senator from New Jersey has been a credit union friend in thepast and hope he will continue to be in the future. New Jersey Gov.Jon Corzine last week appointed U.S. Rep Bob Menendez (D-NJ) totake over the Senate seat Corzine abdicated when he was electedgovernor. The two trade groups suggested his CU-friendly past whileserving in the House should be a good sign for his relationshipwith credit unions now that he is in the Senate, but they willreach out to him to ensure a good working relationship with him inhis new position.
