CLEVELAND -- Chuck Zuver, the long-time chief lobbyist at CUNA and a well-known figure on Capitol Hill, underwent successful quadruple heart bypass and valve replacement surgery at the renown Cleveland Clinic last Friday. The 74-year-old Zuver is reported to be doing well and is expected back at home next week. Zuver served as chief lobbyist at CUNA for more than a decade until 1996. Afterwards, he served as head of the fledgling National Association of Community CCs, and as lobbyist for the Virginia and D.C. credit union leagues.
