PAUL, Minn. - (02/01/05) -- Check printer Deluxe Corp. said netincome surge 19% for its fourth quarter to $46.8 million, or 92cents a share, after full integration of the company's new NewEngland Business Service business forms acquisition. Fourth quarterrevenues soared 59% to $476.9 million, including $191.7 millioncontributed form NEBS. The $15.3 million decrease in revenue fromDeluxe's other business was related to the continued drop-off ofits core-check-printing business. For the year, Deluxe reported a3% rise in net income to $198 million, or $3.92 a share, and a 26%increase in revenues to $1.57 billion. Separately, Deluxe said itis shutting down its check printing plant in Athens, Ohio, andlaying off the 360 workers there, and plans to sell off thePremiumWear clothing company, also known as Munsingwear, that itacquired in last year's NEBS acquisition.
