Doomed Sponsor Name Calls For New CUIdentity

ATLANTA - (10/01/04) --Rich's Employees CU is changing itsname to Retail Employees CU after its chief sponsor, FederatedDepartment Stores said it is discarding the Rich's name andconverting all of its regional department stores to the Macy'snameplate. "It is a name that captures our unique position in theretail marketplace and positions us for future membership growth,"said Jeanne Kucey, president of the 66-year-old credit union. Thenew name will become effective Jan. 1.
