EECU Buys Naming Rights To Kids Area At Ballpark

When the Ft. Worth Cats open their 2005 minor league season at LaGrave Field here, the children's playground will be known as the EECU Kids' Zone. The credit union has bought naming rights to the playground for at least the next three years. The deal includes signage facing the field and a special EECU Pack the Park Night. "One of the most exciting opportunities for us is that a child will be recognized each game as the EECU Most Valuable Kid," said Jan Smith, Director of Public Relations. "The child chosen will be able to go out onto the field, receive a baseball and get to make a trip to the dugout to get their favorite player to sign their baseball." EECU will give away 1,000 tickets during EECU's Pack the Park Night and will invite children that might not otherwise have an opportunity to attend a baseball game. The credit union said its children's mascot, Dollar Dog, his wife Penny, and their son, Half Dollar, will also be on hand to greet the children during Pack the Park night.
