FLINT, Mich. - (03/07/05) -- Army Reservist Jake Gepford wasgreeted with a special credit union gift when he returned home fromIraq last week, a special package with gift cards and othergoodies--courtesy of the staff at Security FCU. The credit unionemployees didn't know Gepford but were prompted to pitch in whenone staffer suggested during the holidays that they 'adopt' asoldier. The gesture resulted in an outpouring of support overChristmas when the credit union employees sent Gepford a package ofsnacks, disposable cameras, Christmas cards and money. Last week'sgesture was a 'Welcome Home' box. Now that Gepford is home, thecredit union staff is looking for another soldier to adopt forEaster.
