ATLANTA - (04/24/06) Credit bureau Equifax Inc.reported a 7% rise in first quarter earnings to $62.9 million, or48 cents a share, due to its core North American creditreporting business. Total revenues were up 9% to $374 million,while revenue for the North American operation was up 8% to $208million for the quarter, compared to the first quarter last year.Revenue for the companys personal solutions unit, whichprovides credit reports directly to consumers, was up 3%, to $31million for the first quarter.
