HOUSTON - (04/25/05) -- The former president of the AldineTeachers CU was sentenced last week to time already served in afederal detention center and six months home confinement andordered to pay $88,145 in restitution of funds stolen from thecredit union. James Eaves Jr., 38, of Houston, was ordered to repaythe fund in monthly installments of at least $250 month. Eavespleaded guilty in December to defrauding the credit union bycashing checks due to the credit union and its vendors betweenApril 1999 and October 2000.
