EL PASO, Texas - (12/17/04) -- A 40-year-old unemployed woman wasarrested Wednesday and charged with Monday's armed robbery at ElPaso Employees FCU and Tuesday's hold-up at City Bank. Maria DelCarmen was arrested by El Paso Police Wednesday afternoon at herapartment after a neighbor tipped them off. Some of the stolen cashwas recovered at the scene. Police said Hispanic women were only 28of 9,700 identified bank robbers in the U.S. in 2003.
