Christmas Card Promo Available

DES MOINES, Iowa-The Members Group is reporting there is still time to implement and market a gift card program prior to the Christmas holidays through Credituniongiftcards.com. The company said it launched the gift card product more than a year ago and has seen interest both from credit unions and their members - in some surprising ways. "Consumers' acceptance of gift cards has boomed during the past year," said Jeff Russell, CIO/VP-strategic development. "More than three-million gift cards were issued by financial institutions nationally in 2003. Consumers use gift cards for more than a replacement for the traditional gift. We even have clients who issue cards to their business members who are offering incentives and bonuses to their employees on these easy-to-use cards."
