Fiserv Opens New ProcessingPlant

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - (11/03/05) -- Fiserv said Wednesday it is openingan item processing plant in Burlington Vt., to serve its clientMerchants Bank, and area credit unions and banks. The 7,500-footfacility is fully automated and uses the CAR-LAR system that iscapable of automatically reading the handwriting on most checks.The system helps speed processing and cuts costs. Fiserv is one ofthe biggest processors of checks and images and has processingoperations across the country.
