Five Men Arrested After CURobbery

RANTOUL, Ill. - (04/27/06) Five Kankakee men were capturedTuesday shortly after they allegedly burst into Community Plus FCUwith handguns blazing and made of with an undisclosed amount ofcash. A passing motorist told police he saw masked men entering thecredit union, prompting police to surround the building andconfront them as they were leaving. The men then ran off, but wereall caught a short while later. Three guns were recovered from thesuspects, ranging in age from 19 to 33. Police believe the group isresponsible for several other area armed robberies.
