Flight Continues From Utah StateCharter

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (09/17/04) -- NCUA said it approved an applicationfrom tiny Blues Plus CU, in Salt Lake City, to convert to federalcharter. The $6 million credit union is the 13th state credit unionto flee to federal charter over the past two years, since thebattle to tax credit unions emerged as major issue in the statelegislature. NCUA has received applications from at least two morestate charters to convert, as well.
