BALTIMORE - (06/27/05) -- Employees at Maryland Employees CUdelivered more than 2,000 children's books the credit unioncollected to several Baltimore elementary schools. Under apartnership with the schools, the credit unions donates the booksat the end of the school year and students are allowed to take thebooks home to read. Books that are too young for school agechildren were donated to Our Daily Bread's Family Corner. This isthe fourth year of the credit union's bookishinitiative.
