Kellogg Community FCU Teams Up For SchoolLiteracy

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - (01/19/06) – Kellogg Community FCU hasjoined with the local minor league baseball team, the MidwestLeague’s Devil Rays, for a promotion encouraging students inCalhoun County to read more. Seven schools have joined thepartners’ ‘Hit The Books’ initiative which willkeep score of students reading progress and award those who‘hit all four bases’ with free tickets to Devil Raysgames. One student was also chosen to have his artwork displayed onthe contests’ promotional material. Kellogg CommunityFCU’s mascot, Dollar Dog, and the Devil Rays’ mascot,Doodle, will also make appearances at participating schools tostress the importance of reading.
