League Grant To Fund FinancialLiteracy

ARVADA, Colo. - (02/15/06) -- The Colorado CU League announcedTuesday it has awarded a grant of $8,950 to Lakewood-based JeffcoCU to help the credit union pay for financial literacy programs,including its 'Making Sense.' The Making Sense program was startedin the 1990's and has reached more than 15,000 students and 200teachers, providing financial education for grades K-12. Itincludes classroom presentations on budget, identity theft, credit,investments and the importance of saving.
