HARAHAN, Louisiana - (12/01/05) -- The Louisiana league has returned toits offices for the first time since Aug. 29, when it shut down asHurricane Katrina was approaching. The league reported that allstaff, with the exception of those who were laid off in the wake ofthe storm and a few who remain behind in Baton Rouge to wrap upoperations there, have returned to the league offices. For the pastseveral months the Louisiana league has been operating out of spaceprovided by Bayou FCU in Baton Rouge. Cheryl L. Oggs, executive VPwith the league, meanwhile, told The Credit Union Journal that shewill be leaving the league to relocate closer to family in Florida.Separately, the Matarie, La. shared branch has alsoreopened.
