ANN ARBOR, Mich. - (03/17/05) -- Jamie Lewis, a single mother ofthree, had her newly purchased home completely remodeled courtesyof Midwest Financial CU and a local interior design firm as part oflocal PAX TV's 'Marvelous makeover' show. The newly renovated homewas featured in a one-hour episode of the show, which recorded onfilm the remodeling of Lewis' kitchen and living room. Lewis boughtthe home in foreclosure even though it needed a new roof, windowsand doors. "When the credit union called to tell me I was gettingthe Makeover, it was like my prayers had been answered. I was sooverwhelmed," she said. Although Lewis chose to have her kitchenremodeled, the contractor and subcontractors donated time andmaterials to do an adjacent living room, too.
