DENVER - (06/03/05) -- Members of Safeway Rocky MountainFCU voted overwhelmingly to merger with Denver Public Schools CU,the final step required to create the state's third largest creditunion. The combination will create a credit union with almost $750million in assets and serving more than 56,000 members. The mergerwas approved earlier this year by both state and federalregulators. As a state charter, DPS CU did not require memberapproval.
