Membership In Delta Employees CU Pays BigDividends

ATLANTA - (02/07/05) -- Delta Employees CU said it paid outmore than $8 million in dividends and interest rebates last month,for 2004, one of the biggest member payouts in the country. Thecredit union paid a special dividend of 10% on savings accounts for2004; and a 5% interest refund on loan payments. "We decided thatthis year we had excess money and we felt we wanted to share itwith our members," Mary Olson, vice president, marketing for the$2.5 billion credit union, told The Credit UnionJournal.
