WARREN, Mich. - (03/14/05) -- METRO CU said it is expanding its12-year-old student division, one of the nation's largest, byopening its seventh student-run branch in an area high school. Thenew location is in Warren Mott High. All of the high schoolbranches are staffed by student tellers, who earn class credit fortheir work. A credit union employee oversees the operation andadministers a financial curriculum with the support of a teacherfrom the school. The $200 million credit union also operatesbranches in two Warren elementary schools.
