Montana's CU's 'Baldly' Raise Funds For CULAC

Montana's credit unions raised $34,116 in their annual Credit Union Advocacy Council (CUAC) raffle. The raffle offered a chance to win one of eight prizes. The highest honor of most dollars sold was earned by Montana FCU, Great Falls, where staff divided into teams and sold $8,055 worth of raffle tickets at $2 per ticket.

Credit Union Vice President and CUAC Trustee Mike Bruskotter had offered up his head-or at least his hair-as an incentive for staffers to sell $8,000 worth of tickets, a nearly 400% increase over the credit union's previous year's sales. Bruskotter's head was shaved at a staff appreciation party on Friday, April 29.

The winning team of credit union staff members sold $2,567 worth of tickets. Other top sellers were Sky FCU, Livingston with $6,421; Avanta FCU, Laurel with $6,348; Bear Paw CU, Havre with $3,365; and Rocky Mountain CU, Helena with $2,671.
