More Than 300 Turn Out For 50 Plus Festival

More than 300 members of Commonwealth Credit Union turned out for its third annual 50 Plus Festival. Many also brought family members with them.

The event was moved indoors due to rain, as were all related activities, including free food. There was no entry fee. Among those activities were more than 70 exhibitors, the most popular of which was an antique appraisals offer. Commonwealth CU reported members stood in line for at least 30 minutes to have their "cherished items" appraised. This was, by far, the most popular booth at the festival. Other activities included: health screenings, education opportunities, yard landscaping, retirement information, police/EMS, chiropractic consultations. fishing demonstrations, and live bluegrass music by the Puncheon Creek Band.
