ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (12/16/05) At its last meeting of the year, theNCUA Board voted to retain the current 1.3% National Credit UnionShare Insurance Fund normal operating level for 2006. Also calledthe equity ratio, the normal operating level was set at 1.3 % basedupon a projected outlook of minimal credit union problems, thewell-capitalized position of credit unions and a healthy NCUSIF,according to NCUA. While its not coal in the stocking,federally insured credit unions will once again not be receivingany bonus dividend on their 1% deposit in the NCUSIF.
