NCUA Offers Small Grants To GulfCUs

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - (09/16/05) -- NCUA said Thursday it willimmediately make $120,000 in small grants available for creditunions damaged by Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. The moneywill come from the agency's Community Development Revolving LoanFund and will be available in amounts up to $2,500. The purpose ofthe grants will be to expedite restoration of businesses, clean-up,repair or rebuilding of credit union offices.
