ALBANY, N.Y. - (0/21/05) -- The New York CU League said itgranted $19,000 in college scholarships to 31 high school studentsunder its 2005 Scholarship Program. The league awarded sevenscholarships of $1,000 each and 24 scholarships of $500. The grantswere awarded on the basis of academic achievement, extracurricularand community activities, an essay question, and a teacher'sreference. The scholarships were awarded to high school seniors whoare members of a credit union and plan to attend college for thefirst time.
