ALBANY, N.Y. - (12/07/05) -- Staff of State Employees CU hereloaded a U-Haul with hundreds and pounds of school supplies Sundayand departed for Louisiana, where they plan to donate the suppliesto schools damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Credit union officialswill also present a $25,000 check to assist Varnado High School,which was raised by the credit union and events sponsored by theAlbany Times Union daily newspaper. The relief funds and schoolsupplies were collected on behalf of the National EducationAssociation, the national teachers union.
