Older Members Are Most Satisfied

EMERYVILLE, Calif.-Older and longer-term members are more satisfied with their credit unions than younger, newer members, according to survey of 5,000 members conducted by MyCUsurvey.com. Among the findings:

* Members older than 65 were 30 points more satisfied with their CUs than those under age 30.

* Members who visited a branch at least once a week demonstrated 10 points higher satisfaction than those who visited less frequently, and 14 points higher than those who never visit.

* Newer members are not as satisfied, by a factor of 15 points, as those members who have belonged to the credit union for 10 years or more.
