NH CUs Expect Little Interest In Tax Exemption

Two large institutions each owned by a company that is headquartered outside the Granite State dominate the banking industry in New Hampshire. These types of institutions traditionally have shown little interest in attacking credit unions. The remaining banking institutions in New Hampshire and their statewide trade association have not pursued legislative efforts to tax credit unions. The league has a very active legislative program and is always on the look out for any legislation that might prove detrimental to credit unions and their members.
