OmniAmerican CU Restores MemberServices

FORT WORTH, Texas - (08/04/05) -- OmniAmerican CU said Wednesday ithad restored most of its member services, after a computer crashshut down all services late Sunday. The credit union's entirebanking system had been unavailable since the weekend, with somemembers unable to make automated mortgage payments or withdraw morethan a few hundred dollars from their OmniAmerican accounts.OmniAmerican officials said the credit union had a database problemand was able to get its systems up and running in its branches andon its phone service by Wednesday morning, but its Internet bankingsystem was still not available.
