LAS VEGAS - (01/02/06) The Nevada Attorney GeneralsOffice will start issuing passports to victims ofidentity theft to help them prove their identities were stolen. Anew state law effective in January requires the identity theftpassports to help victims restore their credit and resolve anycriminal charges that may have been brought against them as aresult of identity theft. To qualify for the passport, victims mustreport the theft to the police and then apply to the attorneygenerals office for the documentation.
